Last updated: This privacy policy explains how TwtPicker ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Twitter/X giveaway comment picker at twtpicker.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Our privacy principles
TwtPicker is built to touch as little personal data as possible. We do not ask for your Twitter password; we do not require an OAuth login to your social account, and we read only public comment data attached to the post URLs you choose to draw from. We collect what we need to provide the Service, keep it secure, and process payments — and nothing more for the sake of it.
Information we process
Public comment data. When you paste a public Twitter/X post URL, the Service loads the public comments on that post so it can build a list of eligible entries and select winners. This may include public usernames, comment text, and publicly visible reply information. We process this data to run your draw and to generate the comment and winner exports you request. We do not access private messages, protected accounts, or any content that is not publicly visible.
Account and billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, we (and our payment processor) collect the information needed to set up and manage your subscription, such as your email address and billing details. Card payments are handled by a third-party payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
Usage and technical data. Like most websites, we may automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and basic analytics about how the Service is used. This helps us keep the Service secure, diagnose problems, and improve performance.
Communications. If you email us at [email protected] or message us on WhatsApp, we keep the content of those communications so we can respond and provide support.
How we use information
We use the information described above to: provide and operate the Service, including scraping public comments and selecting winners; generate and deliver the exports you request; create and manage your account and subscription; process payments and prevent fraud; respond to your support requests; maintain the security and integrity of the Service; understand and improve how the Service performs; and comply with our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Service may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working correctly, remember your preferences, maintain your session, and gather basic analytics. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, though disabling certain cookies may affect how parts of the Service function.
Payments
Subscriptions are billed through a trusted third-party payment processor. When you subscribe, your payment details are submitted directly to that processor under their own security and privacy practices. We receive confirmation of your subscription status and limited billing information needed to manage your account, but we do not store your complete payment card data ourselves.
How we share information
We share information only where necessary to run the Service and meet our obligations. This includes sharing with service providers who help us operate the Service (such as hosting, analytics, and payment processing) under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms; sharing when required by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid government request; and sharing in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, in which case we will take reasonable steps to protect your information. We do not sell your personal data to third parties for their own marketing.
Public data and giveaways
Because giveaways operate on public posts, the comment data the Service processes is already publicly visible on Twitter/X. The exports you generate (comment lists and winner lists) are created for your own use as proof of a fair draw. You are responsible for how you publish or share those exports, including any usernames they contain, and for following Twitter/X rules and applicable laws when running your contest.
Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Public comment data processed for a draw is used to produce your results and exports; we do not seek to retain it longer than necessary for the operation of the Service. Account and billing records are retained for the period required to manage your subscription and meet legal and accounting requirements.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we process against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keeping your account email secure on your end also helps protect your information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your data, and the right to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected] and we will respond in line with applicable law. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Children
The Service is not directed to children, and it is intended for users who are old enough to enter into a binding agreement and to run giveaways in line with platform rules. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International users
The Service may be operated from, and information may be processed in, countries other than where you live. Data-protection laws in those countries may differ from your own, but we apply the protections described in this policy wherever we operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
